Rush Smelter Remains

Rush, Arkansas is a ghost town on the Lower Buffalo River, famous for zinc mining in the Ozark Mountains. Now located within Buffalo National River, the district includes ruins dating from 1880 to 1940.

The remains of the mining smelter in the ghost town of Rush, Arkansas, along the Buffalo National River. This is a 590nm infrared image taken in the middle of a bright sunny day. I used a glow filter in post processing to give the image some atmosphere.
